On Tuesday 30 June, China passed a law condemning acts in support of independence to enable them punish protesters easily. This new has empowered Hong Kong’s security authorities to be able to shut down pro-democracy protests.

Microsoft and Zoom has turned down request made my Hong Kong authorities to access their user data. Besides, Facebook, Google, Twitter and Telegram chatapp has  announced their ‘break’ two days ago as to this effect.

Consequentially, it is possible that if these Technology Firms do not comply to this new policy sooner or later, they may experience restrictions or ban from these regions. Tik-Tok, which is owned by Chinese Company - Bytedance has already announced its intention to leave Hong Kong in days.

Apple said; they are still “evaluating” the rules.
